eventshoch2 – International Connoiseurs Academy in Paris
Lange Uhren GmbH, Glashütte, Germany
Every year since 2011, the watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne has invited its most important customers and watch-lovers from all over the world to an unforgettable themed weekend in a European city. In the location, they are provided with a comprehensive program of entertainment, which is always also connected with the history of the company.
In September 2014, Paris was the city of choice for this unique event. The founder of the company, Ferdinand Adolph Lange, spent some time here during his years of travel as a journeyman. It therefore seemed appropriate to return once again to this historical place to celebrate this event.
The guests were accommodated at the Hotel Le Meurice, probably the most famous and oldest hotel in the city on the Seine. The guest reception took place on the roof terrace of the hotel, high above the roofs of the city, with a wonderful view of the Eiffel tower.
On the following day, the guests had many different opportunities to experience Paris in a special way, including a city tour specially tailored to the company history, an excursion to the boutique of the famous ladies' fashion company Chloé with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, or participation in a so-called “Academy”, in which the clients themselves can work with watch parts and try their skill in the art of watch-making.
The festive highlight of the Paris weekend was then the evening event and the subsequent gala dinner in the Hotel D’Evreux, one of the most exclusive venues in Paris. This was completely and extensively redesigned by our decorators specially for this evening event and transformed into a unique A. Lange & Söhne world, in which the guests were treated to a close-up history of the watch factory. With the integrated, impressive presentation by the artist and “live speed painter” Erik Black, a fantastic themed weekend in the city of love then came to its crowning conclusion.
